NWI Camino
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE JOURNEY July 15-16, 2023Â
Young adults (college-aged, 20’s, 30’s) are invited on a spiritual walking pilgrimage in their own backyard. The fifth annual NWI Camino was inspired by Northern Spain’s centuries old pilgrimage trail, the Camino de Santiago. Take a journey through NWI Indiana along local trails, and spend time hearing God calling you along the way. Pilgrims are invited to walk one or both days! Click the link for more info.
This year, we are venturing out on a new path, utilizing the Calumet trail between Chesterton and Michigan City for our way. This is very different than previous years: the majority of the way is not paved, it is more set in nature, and you might get your feet wet. If you are up for a little local adventure, this is for you!
Saturday-Sunday, July 15-16*
Day 1: St. Patrick, Chesterton – St. Ann of the Dunes, Beverly Shores, about 8 miles, including fellowship time at St. Ann
Day 2: St. Ann of the Dunes, Beverly Shores – St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception, Michigan City, about 5.6 miles
* While pilgrims are encouraged to take part in both days of the pilgrimage, you do not have to walk both days if you are unable to. Walk one or both days!
St. James, patron of pilgrims, pray for us!
