Scavenger Hunt submitted by Victoria Pérez, LaPorte Catholic Communities.Â
This scavenger hunt works by utilizing a GroupMe group. Prior to the scavenger hunt, make sure you get consent from parents and guardians to communicate with teens via GroupMe. You can also post this to an online meeting space, like Zoom.
Each round will have a set list of items to find, each with a points value. The winner of the scavenger hunt is the person with the most points.

From Cindy: We have had two Zoom youth groups and used scavenger hunts as our warm-up game for both. I took ideas from other youth groups and youth ministry pages and created ours.
The first one we did included 3 rounds, each round the items were harder to find and were worth more points. I created a power point for this one. With Zoom I can share my screen, and that was an easy format for everyone to see the directions and the item list.
This past week, they had 10 minutes (probably 7 would have been better) to find as many of the items as possible, take a picture and text it to me. The items had to be held, in their lap, or held by their adult to count. I shared my phone screen, and we all had a lot of laughs! Everyone got one vote for the most creative points that were added at the end. If you go to the Holy Spirit Facebook page you can see the pictures 🙂
If any of this was unclear, or if you need more information, just let me know!
Have fun!
